This locket became a special piece for me, because I bought it in the same month that my son was born, and I had it engraved with his initial. Unfortunately due to my own fault for wearing it in water a lot, it started to tarnish. That's just the reality of gold plated jewelry sometimes if you're showering with it on every single day. The chain was still intact, without any signs of tarnish.

I emailed Sydney Rose Co. to explain the situation and asked if I could purchase a pendant without the chain (since the chain was intact). I was not expecting that they would send me a replacement locket.

Previous to this, I wanted to exchange the chain because I didn't like the length and it was a seamless experience as well.
